Blurb Bay magazine
This enchanting little magazine project was near and dear to my heart. The aim was to produce a magazine that would help make literature and reading part of children’s everyday lives by pairing books with movies, crafts, and interviews with their favorite authors such as Lemony Snicket.
As the Art director, I engaged in all aspects of the brand and magazine’s visual development. We created a unique masthead concept reminiscent of an eye, giving you a glimpse into the world of Blurb Bay. The layout design was playful with heavy use of local Bay Area illustrators, which also included me.
The design goal was to create a magazine that could sit well with any pop culture magazine but retain the charm of books and literature.
The result was a visually stunning magazine that immersed children in the world of books.
